A10 Preprocessing Text

For activity 10, we were given an image of a receipt.
I cropped only a portion of the image.
Its fft is

We can see that the points corresponding to the lines are slanted. From here we can estimate the angle to be around 3 degrees.

Rotating the image, we have

The corresponding fft is now straighter.

Next we remove the lines by masking out the part of the fft that corresponds to it.
